  1. Proposed Change in club membership administration

Motivation:

As club membership grows, it places an increasing administrative burden on the volunteer members who undertake the membership administration of the respective sporting sections, often without any gratuities for their contributions and efforts. This has resulted in inaccurate records of membership uptake as well as a growing debtors’ books as unpaid subscriptions are not followed up or collected.

It is proposed that the main club may, with the assistance of the sections, consider taking on the function of administering the membership enrollment, registration and collection of subscriptions to allow the sport sections to concentrate on the playing of the sport and not on the administration of membership of the sport.

Point of Clarity:

This change will envisages a centralized Riverside member registration and payment and sport registration process, preferably through an online facility. Full membership fees are proposed to be paid over to the main club, the main club fee will then be collected, with the balance being dispersed to the affilated club sporting sections. This additional administrative function by the main club is likely to necessitate an additional part-time employee.
